The beauty of raising a genetically-enhanced child - not many people can brag that they have an extra chromosome... Follow the journey of our first-born son, Sheridan Michael, as we travel down a path that looks different than what we imagined, but is far more incredible than we could have ever hoped for.

A Few Recent Pics Before We Go
Just wanted to share a handful of recent pictures my friend Michelle took of Sheridan (she also took these pictures of us together). She is very talented, and wanted an opportunity to practice her photography skills... LOVE these!
Love the pics, Sheridan is such a "ROCKSTAR":) Kudos to your friend (the photographer).......she did good:) Many prayers and positive energy being sent your way. BTW, the post above was from me, I was logged in under my husband's account and I knew you wouldn't know who that was:) Silly me!!
Love these photos, Lisa. I have no doubt that Sheridan will do great (and you and Gary, too!). Thank goodness he's a healthy boy and now he'll just be heart-healthy, too. I had to laugh... the last photo looks like he's "watering" the bricks. :-) One day he will LOL.
I don't even know what to say??? I am thinking of you, praying for you, and I hope for a quick and easy recovery. He looks so adorable! He has grown tons! I wish I could hug you....I'm sending them to you! xoxo
What amazing photos Lisa. Sheridan is so photogenic. My favorite one is the second one from the top... standing with a kind of hand caught in the cookie jar face. - Amy
Love these pictures and how they capture Sheridan's beautiful, joyful and warm spirit. We are praying for you guys and are eager to bring you a meal after you get back. Until then, we're sending all our hugs your way!
This is the 1st time ever on your blog! God has a unique way to offer us help and support when we need it most. Our 8 yr. old daughter has DS and had open heart surgery at 6 mon. old. She had AVSD and has done wonderful after the surgery. You would never know she even had a heart defect, except for the little scar. It was extremely hard to walk her to the door of the operating room and hand her over to the nurse. I kept telling myself that God and His angels were in the room to watch over her. I'll say a special prayer for Gary, you and Sheridan tomorrow morning. I'm praying for the doctor's hands to be guided by the Lord's hands in what needs to be done. Also, for strength, quick healing and minimal pain for Sheridan.
He's so gorgeous, Lisa! Godspeed on your journey. I will be praying for you all every step of the way.
ReplyDeleteHe's a beautiful little man, inside and out. Love the vintage touch she put on the photos. He's going to do great-try not to worry!
